Subreddit Atlas

The Subreddit Atlas is a data visualisation that maps the structure of Reddit's adult (18+) communities. Each community is a point on an interactive map, and communities that share commenters sit near each other. The layout is computed entirely from archived participation metadata: author names, subreddit names, and counts. No post content or images are used, and the published map contains no usernames.

The site is free, has no ads, and sells nothing. There are no accounts, no paid features, and no transactions. The interactive map requires JavaScript, but the same information is available as plain pages:
